What it does and why it's useful
A 5 MP turret camera with a 5-megapixel picture, about 2.5 times the detail of Full HD, giving more detail to recognize faces and read small text from further away. It has a wide view that covers most of a room, lobby or entrance from one corner, and a compact housing that looks neat in homes, offices and small shops.
Its eyeball-style design is easy to aim and avoids the night-time glare that can affect domes, making it a popular all-round choice. Built-in infrared lets it see in complete darkness up to 30 m away, and wide dynamic range (120 dB) keeps faces visible against bright windows and headlights.
It works with our recorders and phone app, so you can watch live or play back footage from anywhere.
